Sonja Kalkhoven earned her Master’s degree in food technology from Wageningen University. After graduation, she had various roles in the R&D department of Unilever, related to technical project leadership, data management, operations and change management. She has worked for multiple product categories: ice cream, soy drinks, personal care and home care.
Five years ago, she was appointed R&D Director in Unilever (now Upfield) for spreads and currently acts as Upfield’s Head of global product development spreads & creams.
